June 20, 2017, Salt Lake City, Utah – Sage Park announced today it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the Utah based SMI Molding Company. The transaction is anticipated to close later this month and the term of the transaction were not disclosed.

SMI is one of the premiere plastic injection molders in the western United States doing business in Clearfield, Utah since 1981. “Over the past 30 years we have built SMI’s reputation for high quality molding by serving our customers and business partners” said Shane Cave, SMI’s President & CEO. “Sage Park’s track record in helping organizations reach their full potential makes them an ideal buyer for SMI. This acquisition adds tremendous stability to the business and provides a dynamic platform for growth.”
SMI is a custom plastic injection molding company with a long, consistent history of high quality molding services and manufacturing. Since in 1982, SMI has maintained a strong reputation in the industry for its comprehensive quality assurance programs in injection molding. The Company specializes in sporting goods, medical, consumer and technology products.
